The conference was so informative, so impressive and so fruitful.
Abdul Ali Faiq
Thank you to all those who joined us in the second ECHRA Conference today at Goldsmiths University. As you may know we gather here at Goldsmiths each year to explore and debate issues of Human Rights in Afghanistan and the Diaspora.
I would like to have a big thank you to the Chairpersons of our event, Mrs Claire Rimmer (European Council for Refugee Exiles) and Miss Mariam Aman (BBC Persian Afghanistan Unit), for making our Conference a great success.
I would also like to thank our Speakers:
Anne Bathily from ECRE, Farzana Moqadas, Arzu Qaderi, Sonia Wahedy, Saeed Ikram Tahiri, Abdul Ali Faiq, Marwa Sobhan, Sarajuddin Isar, Abdul Ahmadi, Arzo Naubahar, Sima Azad, Shabnam and Sheekeba Nasimi who made a great contributions by raising the issues concerning our community here and in Afghanistan.
As you are aware that our Campaign currently has no funds available, and therefore we were very lucky to use Ian Gulland Lecture theatre (Goldsmiths University) free of charge, and have professional filming by David Jones free of charge.
Purpose of the event was to present the issues faced by Afghanistani women in both the UK and Afghanistan and to also build our ideas on how we could tackle them. Fortunately everyone contributed to the Conference with very inspirational speeches and hopefully we can implement these in the near future.
For those people unable to be with us, we will have a report written of the outcomes of the conference soon. Recordings of key parts of the event will be made available on our website and YouTube soon.
Keep on using your skills whether it's in your personal or professional lives, and carry on campaigning.
"A good opportunity to learn and exchange views, particularly on key aspects of Afghan women empowerment concerns such as education, health, employment and domestic violence."

The European Campaign for Human Rights in Afghanistan and other civil organisation were present at the meeting and stressed that UK should give residency visa to those whom their parents had lost lives during serving with PRT and NATO army and demanded a compensation for disabled people in Afghanistan.
